Paradise Dental Technologies, Inc. Grand Opening

Paradise Dental Technologies, Inc. has come a long way from the two car garage that they began their dental tool manufacturing operation in eight years ago.  A Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held on July 2nd at their new facility on Highway 10.

MAEDC was first acquainted with PDT in 2001, when the company had 5 employees and a vision.  Today, PDT has more than 50 employees, and offers health insurance, 401(k) and profit sharing benefits.  This expansion project will allow the company, which is the #2 supplier of fine dental tools in the US and #1 in several European countries, the space to hire another eight full time employees.

PDT is currently the only 100% USA made dental tool facility, with more than 30% of sales outside the US.  This manufacturer is a genuine asset to the Missoula economy.  Congratulations to Fred and Linda Van de Perre on their many successes!

MAEDC Intranet has Launched

An exciting new tool is now available for MAEDC business partners.

Working with Pyron Technologies in Missoula, MAEDC’s website has been expanded to include a secure login access area, or intranet, using Pyron’s Enterprise Manager.  This new tool will enable staff to post board minutes, financial statements, tenant information and other sensitive material with personalized security access on a per page basis.  This not only helps to expand MAEDC’s ability to communicate with its constituents, but also allows staff to do so in an efficient and confidential way.

Currently, information on the intranet includes board meeting minutes and packets, status updates regarding key MAEDC applications and projects, tenant information and relevant HR documents for MAEDC staff.  MAEDC will pursue the utilization of this website component for more groups and projects as staff continues to develop secure areas.

Password and login information for key groups have already been administered, with more groups to come.  If you have any suggestions for the utilization of this new tool, please contact MAEDC staff.

MAEDC Staff Lends a Hand to Habitat

Raising trusses, light demolition and finishing concrete are not typically ‘all in a day’s work’ for the staff of the Missoula Area Economic Development Corporation; however on June 27th, four members of the MAEDC staff took some time away from the office to get down and dirty on the Habitat for Humanity construction site.
